Alec Baldwin of Saturday Night Live has thanked star Pete Davidson for his weight loss transformation. On “The Tonight” show starring Jimmy Fallon, Davidson, 27, revealed that he had unintentionally inspired the 63-year-old actor Alec Baldwin to get in shape. Davidson said that he was on set and Alec was the host of the show, and there was a sketch where he had to be shirtless. Alec Baldwin came and asked him what he does to maintain his physique. Davidson replied that he does 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups every day. Davidson further added that he said that he said about push-ups and sit-ups because he did not want to be rude to Baldwin and say that he had a good metabolism and that he was not in his mid-50s.

Soon after the chat, Baldwin made regular appearances on Saturday Night Live, where he played the role of former president Donald Trump. Every time Davidson met him in the hall, he would say, “100 a day.”

How did Alec Baldwin lose 100 pounds?

Baldwin started doing 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups and lost around 100 pounds. Baldwin always said and believed that it was because of Davidson that he was able to lose so much weight. Baldwin confirmed the story of Davidson on “The Howard Stern Show” in the year 2019. Davidson said that he does 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups every day. He said that he does more than 100 push-ups and more than 100 sit-ups a day. You keep building it up.

The well-known actor lost more than 100 pounds after he entered rehab in June 2022. Many people wanted to know what type of dramatic changes were achieved in Baldwin’s physique, but there is another important fact about Baldwin’s weight loss that is not discussed much. The transformation of Baldwin’s physique was not achieved overnight. It was rather a gradual process that took several months.

Baldwin further said that he did not get into the rehab as an impulsive slimming measure, but rather as a part of an overall goal to achieve a much stronger and more athletic body. He added that his nutritionist supervised the initial phase of the diet by creating a customized meal plan for him and his staff. From there on, the actor began a two-and-a-half-week program of consuming only eggs, fish, chicken, and lean beef with very small amounts of vegetables.

After this initial phase of detox, Baldwin started with the second phase of strength training. The second phase included the lifting of weights about three to five times a week for about 30 to 50 minutes at a time. For this effort, Baldwin spent about one hundred and twenty-five hours in the gym and did not allow food to enter after 8 in the evening.

At the end of the second phase of Alec Baldwin’s weight loss story, the actor was down to thirty pounds, and his fitness level had also increased. As he enters the third and final stage of his weight loss program, he states that he has started feeling much healthier than ever before. He had lost 30 pounds and had achieved the physical fitness that he had so much desired. Now he eats healthy seafood, fruits, and salads.


Baldwin was diagnosed as pre-diabetic.

In the year 2012, Baldwin was diagnosed as pre-diabetic and he lost quite a lot of weight by cutting down on his sugar intake. Hilaria Baldwin, in a book called “The Living Clearly Method,” says that her husband’s health scare was an alarming wake-up call that rocked him to the core.

This episode changed his relationship with eating. His wife said that when Baldwin hit the crisis point, he gained a new perspective on some of the not-so-helpful habits that had become normal for him without even realizing it. When Baldwin’s wife met him, he was having a lot of issues with his health. His cup was to the brim so much that he could not metabolize even a bit of sugar without causing any kind of insulin disruption. This was leading him close to chronic disease. Hilaria further added that when they were dating and her husband was 58 years old, he sometimes ate some things that were not good for him. She did not say anything because their relationship was new.

Hilaria Baldwin said that Alec Baldwin had spent years eating out, eating late, and eating too much. As a result of this, he got into some very bad habits without even realizing it. His sugar intake was too high, and this was not just due to the sweet foods and the white carbs but also due to pasta, sauces, and other things that had hidden sugar and snacks. She said that she simply watched whatever she ate and jotted down mentally her secret wish list of what she would tell him when he asked her.

She finally got the opportunity to tell Baldwin what she wanted when a trip to the doctor revealed that Baldwin’s blood sugar was at its pre-diabetic stage and required an immediate revamp of the diet. Baldwin cut out all his bread, pasta, refined carbohydrates, his favorite sweet and sour Chinese sauce, a sugar fest, and also fruits. Hilaria explains that this was the time when things had to be put together drastically where disorder had taken place.

Together, Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Baldwin started eating healthy meals and also started working out every day. This helped him lose a lot of weight. It also restored his body chemistry and blood sugar levels to normal. This episode completely changed his relationship with eating.

Weight Loss Diet:

Baldwin has not confirmed a total weight loss diet, but he did talk about the changes that he had made to his diet in 2019. He had appeared in an interview on “Extra” with his wife, Hilaria Baldwin. He had mentioned there that he had started juicing in the morning and did not have breakfast. He was also on intermittent fasting. Baldwin said that he wanted to lose weight as he was pre-diabetic. He did not want to inject insulin. He, therefore, started drinking juices, mainly green juices, and cashew milk, and tried to eliminate sugar as much as possible.
